First Camping of 2008

A few weekends ago we went camping at Association Island near Henderson Harbor, New York. We had a fantastic time on a waterfront site, although the water (Lake Ontario) was pretty cold. We woke up the first morning to see more than a dozen geese just outside our trailer.

Emma and Big Sister sit down...at the same time!

Rocks anyone?

No beach on your campsite? No problem! A bin from Loblaws half-full of water will keep them entertained for hours!

... and hours!

What? A popsicle moustache?

Yum!

Really, there's a balance beam here somewhere...I know it!

Hey, dad, can you put one of *those* in my bucket?

Emma and Michaela discuss the finer points of a blade of grass. (If you can't get them to both look at the camera at the same time, looking at each other works!)

Hello - I just found your blog page while I was seaching parent information about preemies on the web. Your story is very heart warming and up lifting. It gives me hope for my two girls riding the preemie roller coaster right now. They were born on August 11, 2008 at 25 weeks. It was so nice to read about how you as parents felt during the ups and downs. My husband and I have experienced some of the same things and it has only been 3 weeks so far, we have a long way to go. Thank you again for sharing your story
